Thank you for such an incredible opportunity to engage kids through dance. My grade sevens absolutely loved it! I taught them 5 songs throughout the morning, I was really impressed with them and myself. WHEN PARTNERS WORK TOGETHER TO DO SOMETHING EPIC FOR SCHOOLS...
CELEBRATION OF DANCE is an annual event organized through a partnership
of awesome people from Limestone DSB, Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic DSB
KFL&A's Public Health & local organizations. DANCEPL3Y provides Teachers
and Student Leaders with simple and playful dances to teach during DPA,
H&PE and Dance lessons. Each spring, representatives from each school join
their peers from across the region for a huge celebration of community and
healthy active living, through dance! The event wraps up with a TDfU School
Teacher Workshop so that teachers can build on the experience at COD and
deliver an energizing curriculum that keeps students ACTIVE with DANCE!
